Welcome to V00d00!
Here, it’s all about what we love – whether it’s the strange magic of old arcade machines, the flickering pixels of neo-retro games, or tinkering with DIY projects. There are no prizes to win, no crown for the best blog, and certainly no claim to completeness. V00d00 is a colorful mix of passion, nostalgia, and the sheer joy of doing what we love.
We know that many of the topics we cover here might be explained better or in more detail elsewhere – and that’s totally fine! We’re not the fastest or the first, but for us, it’s about gathering everything that fascinates us under one roof and sharing it with like-minded people.
So, if you’re up for some relaxed “Hexploration” and curious “Arcade Alchemie“, or if you simply love the feeling of browsing through a chaotic yet colorful collection, then you’ve come to the right place. Get comfortable, press a few pixels, and let’s explore the world of Voodoo together – without stress, without pressure, but always with a touch of V00d00 magic.
Who is Roger Wilco?
Born in 1984, I (alias Roger Wilco) am a child of the ’80s and ’90s and have always been fascinated by everything that blinks, beeps, and turns the screen into colorful pixels. As a teenager, I devoured the world of gaming, from the Commodore C64 and Amiga to the PC. Whether it was adventures on the Game Boy, SNES, NES, or Mega Drive – and still is today – retro gaming is not just a passion but a way of life. I’m especially drawn to old arcades, pinball machines, and classic LucasArts adventures. As an avid collector of Retro Gamer magazines, my collection continues to grow.

The V00d00 Review Ritual
At V00d00, it’s all about personal impressions and a passion for games. Our reviews are not objective analyses but rather what we feel while playing – whether it’s the pixel art, the soundtrack, or the challenge that excites (or sometimes frustrates) us.
Still, we follow a structured format with a clear framework, allowing you to see exactly what impressed us and where the magic might have been missing. This way, each review remains unique yet comparable – in the spirit of our mystical journey through the world of games.
The Review Framework
- Introduction
The first spell: A brief journey into the game’s world. When and where was it released? Which platforms has it conquered?
- Story
Does the game weave a story that captivates us, or is it more like an unreadable grimoire?
- Gameplay
We analyze the mechanics: How does it play? Is the control precise, or does it feel like a leap into the unknown?
- Graphics & Sound
Pixel charm or visual spectacle? We examine how the game enchants with its visuals and soundscape.
- Difficulty
Whether you’re a beginner or a hardcore gamer, we assess how challenging the adventure is and whether it remains fair.
- Multiplayer Mode
If the game can be experienced together, we explore whether the magic holds up in co-op mode.
- Conclusion
In the end, we evaluate the overall experience and assign the game a star rating.
